Ground Rent Defaulters

Niger State Government To Invoke Law Against Ground Rent Defaulters

Following slow response of land and property owners in Niger State to the repeated demand of ground rents, the state Government reiterated its resolve to evoke the enabling law against all defaulters.

By law, ground rent is a charge paid to Government for the use of the land. It is payable annually based on an approved rate. It is subject to periodic revision within the term of the lease.
Niger State Geographic Information Systems (NIGIS) Agency, noted with dismay that a lot of property owners in Niger State were yet to comply with its repeated demand for payment of ground rent, warning that the government would no longer fold its arms and watch citizens breaking its law with impunity. Therefore, the Government is calling on all defaulters within the state to pay all outstanding ground rents and sundry bills as folows;

1. Pay your ground rent to Government TSA Account with the followins details;

 Account Name: Niger State Internal Revenue Service
 Bank Name: First Bank Plc
 Accont Number: 2013787716
 Sort Code: 0011162526

2. After Payment bring along with you to NIGIS Agency, evidence of payment to collect orriginal receipt.

3. Make Sure a copy of the receipt is submitted to the office of Head of Lands in NIGIS Agency to update your record.
