We take this moment to remind you, our valued land title holders, of the upcoming obligation regarding your Certificate of Occupancy. As per our established practice, the ground rent payment is due every first of January.
Important Reminder
Kindly be advised that the annual ground rent payment ensures the continued validity of your Certificate of Occupancy and helps sustain the seamless services provided by the Niger State Geographic Information System (NIGIS) Agency.

To facilitate a smooth process, we encourage you to proceed with the ground rent payment at your earliest convenience. You can conveniently make the payment through the official Niger State Internal Revenue Service portal or visit our office HQ for assistance.

1. Lands department
- Area Land Office to confirm the root of title from applicant submissions.
- Director Lands to validate root of title.

2. Office of the Surveyor General.
- Surveyor General to confirm the survey data submitted by the applicant.
- Cartography unit to chat the survey data on Intelligent sheet to avoid encroachment.

3. Town Planning department
- Receives and review Site Analysis report for residential or Environmental Impact Analysis for applications that have some degree of impact to the environment.
- Ensures that the proposed land use is compatible with existing development and conforms with the state Town Planning Policy and local needs.

4. NIGIS Agency.
- Application reaches the final stage where 1, 2, and 3 above are double checked for quality assurance.
- Letter of INTENT is prepared. Check list of all approved Intent here.
- All file documents are scanned to Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Title Deed drawing is prepared.
- Certificate of Occupancy is printed.
- Schedule is prepared for Governor to sign the Certificate of Occupancy.
